Participated in the planned research of volcanic erosion control/water resource conservation at Mt. Sumeru in Indonesia. YEC helped increase Japan’s reputation as a country with advanced erosion control and has conducted related projects ever since.

Panama Canal replacement plan study held jointly by Panama, the United States and Japan. YEC represented Japan and the study proceeded in a joint-committee style.
