Showing the invisible underground

Japan’s land consists of complex and heterogeneous geological and soil features. Furthermore, severe natural phenomena such as heavy rainfalls and earthquakes that have frequently occurred in recent years continue to threaten the safety and security of people’s lives and society. Thus, efforts to protect livelihood are essential for people and society.
We contribute to the creation of safe and secure infrastructure by "showing the invisible underground", where we take advantage of our geological expertise which we have developed throughout our years of experience.

Geology / Soil Engineering

Geology / Soil Engineering

Since about 70% of Japan consist of mountains, the country is prone to sediment-related disasters such as debris flows, landslides, and slope collapses. Japan is also one of the countries with the most occurrence of volcanic activities and earthquakes in the world. To achieve safety and security of people’s lives and society, knowledge and technology in the fields of geology and soil engineering are fundamental.
Other than collaborating with universities and other research institutions, we also investigate and analyze large-scale infrastructures (dams, bridges, tunnels, etc.), disaster prevention, sabo works, waste disposal sites, groundwater management, and countermeasures for groundwater and soil pollution.

Groundwater

Harmony and coexistence with nature are important in order to maintain sustainable development of society. Among many natural resources, water is a fundamental resource and it is very crucial to our daily lives and social activities. It is also a finite resource that can be recycled.
Our company focuses on groundwater which constitutes a diverse water cycle system in the region. We are involved in groundwater conservation/regeneration, development, and management businesses. We use comprehensive technologies in geology, groundwater, river, and environmental fields to provide various services such as investigation, analysis, and countermeasures planning of groundwater. Additionally, we are also engaged in educational activities for local stakeholders.
