Keeping lives safe
Transportation Infrastructure, i.e. roads, railways, ports and airports, have been steadily developed nationwide in Japan.
In a time of increasing natural disaster risk, we provide consulting services for transportation Infrastructure at every implementation stage, concept, planning, design, supervision, maintenance, and evaluation, considering the safety and security of people. As the needs for social infrastructure development have become diversified and complicated, we contribute to realize a society with sustainable economic growth through innovative solutions such as Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addition to practiced technologies.
Road / Transportation Plan
<Road>
The concept of road development has been considered hierarchically categorized into certain types such as highways, arterial roads, and local roads by traffic demand and trip patterns. In the future, the concept of development shall be changed such that it should be harmonized with social and environmental aspects with involvement of the public and partnerships among local communities.
We propose the best solutions to meet the needs of the times at every stage of development, from planning, design, construction management, project management to maintenance, through a wide range of perspectives, our rich experience, reliable skills and engineering-wise sensibility.
<Transportation Plan>
Our field of transportation planning with advanced technical skills has been highly evaluated not only in Japan but also overseas for many years now. A rapid progress of ICT allows us to effectively find the issues to solve and perform future simulation utilizing bid-data, and accurate planning methods based on the needs of the local community and/or users.
We take on the challenge of finding solutions to meet the particular needs of the times regarding various issues on transport infrastructure, e.g., road network planning to ease traffic congestion, reduction of traffic accidents, and planning of pedestrian corridors, through our abundant experience, accumulated knowledge, and engineering expertise.
Tunnel
Due to high-rise buildings and complications in land use in recent years, more advanced construction technology is required for tunnels. Furthermore, appropriate maintenance has become important taking into account the increasing number of aging tunnels. In the future, it will be necessary to construct high-quality and highly durable tunnels considering life-cycle cost reduction.
We organize a quality management system and team of engineers which are able to meet the demands of the project from the initial stages of planning to design, analysis, construction supervision and maintenance, to provide adequate solutions to the issues.
Bridge
Bridges are essential structures for people and vehicles to support mobility across rivers, seas, railways, and roads. Large-scale and historical bridges, for instance, are important tourist resources and landmarks in some area. To leave such bridges for use of the future generation, we take on the challenge to develop and/or maintain them utilizing various technology, e.g. long-span concrete bridges, new method for connecting steel and concrete bridges, and specific seismic control structures for cable-stayed bridges, arch bridges, and truss bridges against huge earthquakes, such as the Nankai Trough earthquake which may occur in the future.
Railway
Nowadays railways are not just for transporting people and goods as mass transit, rather they should be considered to support mobility of an aging society, as a disaster-resilient transportation system, and for environmental issues.
An integrated coordination among transit oriented development, transport master planning with mass transit, selection of structure and supervision, e.g. long span bridges, GRS integral bridges, according to environment and regional characteristics is generally required for railway projects.
Considering about what is necessary to "hand over railways to the future", we are contributing to sustain railway transport by utilizing our comprehensive knowledge, rich experience, and diverse engineering expertise.
Port / Airport
Ports and airports play an important role as logistics and pedestrian hubs connecting major cities in Japan and overseas and as hubs supporting regional economic activities. Furthermore, in the event of an emergency, or a large-scale natural disaster such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, they function as a transport hub for emergency supplies and as a recovery base. Therefore, from the planning of the facility to design, construction, and maintenance management, the logistics and pedestrian functions of ports and airports are maximized, while providing safety and security to the region to ensure sustainable development in consideration also of clean energy and the environment.
