We believe that it is important for urban planning to realize the hope of each and every person in the future. Therefore, even in a society that is undergoing rapid change, we will always consider the history and culture of the region with great care, and the needs of the local people. We plan and design cities and regions with the aim of realizing a "warm and heartfelt life".
Town Planning and Development
We believe that the basis of town planning is the discovery and utilization of the region's unique attractions. In order to do so, it is important that local residents, businesses, and governments work together with a mindset of "creating our own community”. We believe that our mission is to create such opportunities, and to lead people to “awareness” and “utilization” of the characteristics of the region.
Our strength is that we use a variety of methods and systems, including the private sector, and all components, such as town, rivers, and ports, to bring them to fruition in collaboration with experts in various fields. In order to fulfill that mission, we carefully consider and analyze the region's history, culture, landscape, industries such as agriculture and commerce, and character and composition.
Mobility
We consider mobility as an important element for connecting people and supporting human life. Each region has its own urban structure, population composition, economic activities, and customs, among others. This relationship is expected to become increasingly complex in the future, and transportation planning will become even more important.
It is with this recognition and the pride of being able to provide consulting services for “everything moving” in Japan that we are working on restructuring the transportation system. We are also promoting the development of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Communication Technology (ICT), and incorporate them into our solutions to problems in the transportation field.
Water Supply and Sewerage
In addition to providing a stable supply of safe water, which is indispensable for human beings, water supply and sewerage systems have functions such as wastewater treatment, drainage, and reuse of treated water. Such functions and infrastructure ensure a healthy, safe, and comfortable living environment. In recent years, urban inundation countermeasures have been implemented to deal with earthquakes and the frequent occurrence of heavy downpours due to climate change. At the same time, there is a need to protect the water quality of public water bodies, connect other areas to public water bodies, introduce advanced treatment systems, improve combined sewerage systems, renovate and renew aging facilities, and promote the use of renewable energy. In order to accurately and flexibly respond to these social needs, we aim to create a safe and secure community that is friendly to life and the global environment.
Solid Waste
Due to the severe financial situation, the number of aging solid waste treatment facilities is increasing, and the solid waste treatment systems are weakening in some areas (municipalities). On the other hand, it is necessary to prepare for large-scale disasters in other areas as well, so that each facility can maximize its capacity from the perspective of substitutability and multiplicity of treatment.
In order to do so, the facility must be upgraded or updated at the appropriate time to ensure the robustness of the waste treatment system. It is also important to promote the 3Rs, utilize the vitality of the private sector, conserve and create energy, and respond to disaster waste.
From these perspectives, we aim to secure a robust and appropriate waste treatment system and revitalize the region through the formation of a regional circular and ecological sphere.
Architecture
From public buildings such as government buildings and train stations to private buildings such as offices, stores and housing complexes, buildings are an important component of the urban environment and regarded as social infrastructure. Therefore, it is necessary to consider not only safety and comfort, but also the reduction of life cycle costs and the reduction of the burden on the global environment.
We understand architecture within the city and offer the best consulting services, from city planning, design to construction supervision of buildings, including resource and energy conservation and the creation of recycling-based environmental systems.
Landscape Design
Landscape is a local identity that must be protected and nurtured considering the overlap of various elements such as local resources, environment, history, and livelihood. For this reason, landscape design requires comprehensive landscape design management that considers a better shape of the region from a broad and detailed perspective, while respecting the natural, social, and human factors unique to the region. Simply put, we think this is the ability to "connect" various elements.
Many of the elements in the region are divided by various boundaries (e.g., jurisdiction), and there are many scenes where it seems incongruous or difficult to use the landscape. We contribute to the creation of a regional identity by coming up with various proposals for "connection" in cooperation with the fields of urban development, civil engineering, and the environment through various research related to landscape and the design of public facilities such as roads, bridges, dams, and parks.
